UFC Fight Night: Costa vs Vettori Preview
With two different fighting styles, “The Eraser” Costa and “The Italian Dream” Vettori are coming off of two different losses to Adesanya who used their approaches against them. A knockout fighter, Costa was TKO’d by Adesanya in the second round of the headliner at UFC 253 last September. With nine wins by submission and six by decision, Vettori was more guarded in his title challenge this summer, a rematch from Fight Night in 2018. The event went to a decision that was unanimously in favor of the ever-evolving Adesanya.
Saturday evening will be the first contest between Vettori and Costa who both share a similar build. Vettori is an inch shorter than Costa at six feet tall but will have a two-inch advantage in both arm reach and leg reach, while also being three years younger than his Brazilian opponent. Vettori could have an advantage too in endurance with six of his victories going the distance compared to just one for Costa. With opposite strengths in The Octagon, the test will be if Vettori can survive the power of Costa, or if Costa will ultimately submit to the Italian.

UFC Fight Night: Costa vs Vettori Preliminary Card, Main Card, and Odds
Beyond the headliner of Costa and Vettori, UFC Fight Night has a number of interesting fights on both the main card and in the preliminaries. The co-main event of the day, however, is just that, with Ricky Glenn vs Grant Dawson, two up-and-comers in the UFC’s lightweight division.
Glenn is coming off of a first-round TKO victory this summer in his return to The Octagon after three years away. He has shown versatility in getting the victories throughout his career, though primarily finishes with a knockout. Dawson is a submission specialist who is currently riding an eight-fight winning streak, though won his last bout in the spring by TKO. The winner of the fight should have good reason to be in the rankings afterward.
